Welcoming spring on the trail

Yesterday we had the great pleasure of welcoming spring together on a hiking rally around Duże Jezioro Żnińskie

The rally was organised by Klub Turystyki Wielodyscyplinowej “Pałuckie Horyzonty” together with the Board of the PTTK Branch in Żnin and Pałucki Klub Turystyki Motorowej.

Led by Vice-President Jolanta Woźniak, we set off
full of energy and in good spirits. Along the way we not only admired the lovely spring landscapes but also picked up some historical facts about Żnin - for example, where the street names 700-lecia, Kl. Janickiego, Wilczkowska and Dobrylewo come from.

The weather did not let us down either - the sun stayed with us the whole way and the smiles never left the participants' faces

We rested at the landing stage by the cycle path, where a pleasant break was waiting for us under the shelter - a quiz prepared by Jolanta. There was also time to relax over sweet treats, coffee and tea

Thank you all for coming, for walking together and for the wonderful atmosphere

Spring has started in the best possible way - on the move, among people and with a smile! See you on the next rallies!

Announcement and practical information

Welcome Spring Hiking Rally
The PTTK Pałuki Branch in Żnin warmly invites all lovers of walking to the Welcome Spring Hiking Rally.
21 March 2026 (Saturday)
Meeting point: 9:45 - by the Baszta tower
in the Market Square (Rynek) in Żnin
Start: 10:00
Route length: approx. 13-14 km

The route follows these streets in Żnin:
700-lecia
Klemensa Janickiego
Wilczkowska
then on to Wilczkowo, and next
to Jaroszewo, from where we return to Żnin along the cycle path.
In Jaroszewo, under the shelter, we plan a stop with sweet treats, coffee
and tea, as well as a quiz.
Entry fee: 15.00 zł
The entry fee covers:
sweet treats
coffee and tea
taking part in the quiz
participant insurance

Rally rules
Welcome Spring Hiking Rally
1. Organiser
The rally is organised by the PTTK Pałuki Branch in Żnin.
2. Date and place
The rally takes place on 21 March 2026.
Participants meet at 9:45 by the Baszta tower in the Market Square (Rynek) in Żnin.
Start: 10:00.
3. Route
The walking route of approx. 13-14 km runs through:
Żnin - ul. 700-lecia - ul. Klemensa Janickiego - ul. Wilczkowska - Wilczkowo - Jaroszewo - return to Żnin along the cycle path.
4. Programme
During the rally there will be a stop
under the shelter in Jaroszewo, where participants will be offered sweet treats, coffee and tea.
There will also be a quiz.
5. Conditions of participation
signing up through the sign-up form
paying the entry fee
observing the safety rules during the walk
6. Entry fee
The entry fee is 15.00 zł per person.
For the entry fee participants receive:
refreshments, drinks (coffee, tea),
a place in the quiz, participant insurance
7. Sign-up
Sign-ups and payments are accepted until 18 March 2026.
8. Final provisions
Participants take part in the rally at their own risk and must follow the organiser's instructions.
