Regulations of the Pałuki Sightseeing Badge (Pałucka Odznaka Krajoznawcza)

IGeneral provisions

1. The PTTK Pałuki Sightseeing Badge was established by the Boards of the PTTK Branches in Wągrowiec and Żnin in order to:
   • promote Pałuki;
   • encourage tourists to discover the beauty and landscape, the historical past and the monuments of their native land.
2. The Pałuki Sightseeing Badge is a three-level badge:
   • bronze,
   • silver,
   • gold.

IIConditions for earning the badge

1. The badge may be earned by anyone who has reached the age of 8, during individual or group trips in Pałuki.
2. The badge is earned by visiting specified localities and sightseeing sites named in the attached list.
3. To obtain the badge, the following number of localities must be visited:
   • for the bronze level - 10;
   • for the silver level - 25;
   • for the gold level - 40.
4. The individual levels of the badge can only be earned in order. When applying for a higher level of the badge, the record books or journals with the previously verified levels must be submitted.
5. No more than 1 level of the badge may be earned within 12 months.
6. When earning a higher level of the badge, localities and sightseeing sites already visited cannot be counted again.
7. While earning the PTTK Pałuki Sightseeing Badge, PTTK badges may be earned at the same time in accordance with their regulations.

IIIRules of confirmation

1. The basis for applying for the badge is a qualified tourism record book (OTP, KOT, MOT, TM, TOK) or a self-made journal (kronika), which must contain the dates, the trip routes, the localities and sightseeing sites visited, and confirmation.
2. Confirmation of a stay, of a visit to a site or of participation in an event may take the form of a stamp imprint bearing the name of the locality.
3. Confirmations may also be given by: sightseeing instructors, qualified tourism leaders (przodownicy turystyki kwalifikowanej), PTTK guides, school trip leaders, SKKT supervisors, ZHP instructors, PTTK tourism organisers and domestic tour leaders.

IVRules for awarding the badge

1. Once the requirements of the regulations have been met, the record book or journal is submitted to the verification panel of the Board of the PTTK Branch in Żnin.

VFinal provisions

1. The Presidium of the Board of the PTTK Branch in Żnin has the right to award an honorary (gold) badge for outstanding achievements for the region or for PTTK.
2. A badge earned in the ordinary way is subject to a charge, whereas the honorary badge is free of charge.
3. The interpretation of these regulations rests with the Board of the PTTK Branch in Żnin.
4. The Badge regulations were adopted by the Boards of the PTTK Branches in Wągrowiec and Żnin on 22 November 1983 and entered into force on 1 January 1984.
5. Amendments to the regulations were introduced by a resolution of the Board of the PTTK Branch in Żnin of 16 December 1997, effective from 1 January 1998.
6. The PTTK Pałuki Sightseeing Badge was approved by resolution no. 218/84 of the Presidium of the PTTK Main Board of 14.06.1984.
